It is one of Canada’s largest and most diversified institutional investment managers and are responsible for the investments of pension, endowment and government funds in Alberta.

Find capable TIBCO resources
AIMCO had implemented TIBCO back in 2011, but by 2018 they needed to re-architect their existing design in order to align with the implementation of a new multi-asset class enterprise risk system. This risk management project required a major overhaul of the TIBCO platform and included a design of their system moving from a file-based event-driven system to a message-based enterprise service bus architecture or Service Oriented Architecture model.

Implementing the SOA TIBCO architecture
Silver Creek consultants led production support for the TIBCO integration platform while providing mentorship and TIBCO product suite training to new team members (both on-site and off-shore) and facilitating the implementation of new features. We were able to gather requirements and design refined architecture. Our team developed TIBCO Active Matrix BPM processes and forms in TIBCO business studio to manage and improve business process flows.
Silver Creek also implemented a message-base ESB architecture, shifting from the prior file-based and event-driven architecture. Our team also designed a CDM (Common/Canonical Data Model) to store data coming from more than 10 different source systems spanning various business departments. We also introduced CI/CD in Azure DevOps using Ant, Maven, and Ivy for automated builds and deployments. SSIS packages were also used for heavy ETL processes, with data stored in Microsoft SQL Server.
To keep pace with the need for robust analytics, we worked with business and technical groups to build dashboards with TIBCO Spotfire. The improved analytics environment was the result of the innovative data integration capabilities that we implemented.
Maintain and modernize TIBCO environment
Silver Creek have led several application lifecycle management projects upgrade from Tibco Business Works 5-Business Works 6.81 and also BPM4.2 -4.3.2 all of which included setting up new environments, migrating, testing and eventually deploying. Currently starting the update to move to the TIBCO cloud version Business Works Container Edition.

Silver Creek resources have been instrumental in two major technology projects for AIMCo, due to their critical roles and intimate knowledge of TIBCO.
Modern Data Platform - introduced many new cloud solutions such as Data Lakes, Databricks and Power BI.
Business Transformation - transition from multiple legacy enterprise-wide systems onto a new cloud based platform for Asset, Liability and Debt and Derivative Investment Network (Aladdin)
